For our breeding mares Quechua and Rendez-Vous, it all started with the Hanoverian mare Granie, who was bought as a foal in Germany. Granie's full sister, Gromanique, was successful at S-dressage. Her other sister Goldene produced the breeding stallion Lord Charles, who did very well at the Bundeschampionat and the St. Pr. Stute Goldbirke competed internationally in S jumping with Otto Becker.

In the BWP magazine of October 2004 Granie was discussed detailed as a breeding mare. (Click here to read the article)

The first foal Granie gave us was Quechua van het Lindenhof (by Remondo), who also garantueed to deliver top showjumpers.
Uncle Sam (by Darco) jumped at Grand Prix level in the United States of America and Winona van Paemel (by Darco) jumped successfully at 1m40-1m45 level with Ignace Philips. Barbarossa van Paemel (by Darco), who was ridden by Aldrick Cheronnet, in turn stood out for his successful participations in Grand Prixs (winner CSI Vidauban and Caserta, 2nd CSI San Sebestian and 3rd CSI Vichy). Versace (by Darco) became the champion of the 5-year-old horses with Yann Candele in Canada and Don Camillo van Paemel (by Darco) is approved for the AES studbook. Under Thiago Ribas Da Costa he achieved a nice palmares with, among others, 3 victories in San Giovanni, Manerbio and Roosendaal before he was sold.

The next year Granie gave us Rendez-Vous van Paemel. This Randel Z daughter was a very spirited mare, who has already  proven several times that she is an added value in breeding.

Her oldest son Umberto van Paemel (by Darco) has had a succesful jumping career in Italy (sport name: Umberto de Guldenboom). He has won the Derby of Italy, which took place in Vinovo and he was victorious in San Patrignano and also in Alpignano. His full brother Waterloo was one of the finalists at Gesves after two clear qualifiers as a 6-year-old horse.

Her third son is Cicero Z van Paemel (by Carthago Z) made a lot of impression as a young horse under the saddle of Willem Meeus in the cyclus for young horses. He also continued on this elan at the highest level with none other than the top rider Dirk Demeersman. Unfortunately, Cicero's sports carreer came to an end at the age of thirteen after an operation that made a comeback impossible. Year after year we saw Cicero's palmares grow. Among others his great victory in the Grand Prix of Aalst, the first place in the Sires of the World in Mechelen, the win in Dublin over 2m05, his first World Cup which he jumped clear in Mechelen... These are just a few results that will always remain in our memory. Now his talented offspring can take the torch.

In February 2008 an article appeared about Cicero Z in the Z-magazine. Click here to read it.

His younger half sister, Betina (by Darco) has immediately been used as a breeding mare and straight away she proved her value. Her first descendant was Che Guevara van Paemel (by Carthago Z) who has been approved at the age of 3 for the BWP and jumped up to 1m50 level in China. Her second foal, Cayenne van Paemel Z is one of the last descendants of Carthago Z. Just like her mother she was instantly put in breeding. Her first offspring, Kyra van Paemel (by Numero Uno), produced the Selle Français approved Easy Star Devil with Quartz du Chanu. The now eight-year-old stallion competes at 1m45 level under Jérôme Guery. In combination with Numero Uno, Cayenne also gave Moulin Rouge van Paemel. This beautiful long-framed mare shows her scope and today jumps up to 1m50 level under the saddle of the Portuguese rider Duarte Seabra. Her handsome three-year-old son Kentucky van Paemel Z (by Kannan) was approved for the SBS this year and is available at stud at Hengstenhouderij Dekens. In the meantime, Mambo van Paemel (by Ugano Sitte) has also been approved by Studbook Zangersheide. The stallion, born in 2012, showed great things during the stallion competition under Filip Lacus and was ridden up to 1m40 by Aldrick Cheronnet, resulting in several classifications before being sold..

Furthermore Rendez-Vous gave the BWP approved stallion Esperanto van Paemel (by Nonstop) who jumped into the spotlight by not making any fault as a 4-year-old in the national LRV circuit. Like a real muscleman he has won both the stallion competition during the Winter Equestrian Nights in Lier and the final of the 5-year-old horses at Jumping Panhof. As a 6-year-old he became 3rd at the National Championship and jumped clear rounds at CSI Lummen, just like the year before. With Dirk Demeersman his power and scope gained him a 2nd place in the qualifier for the world championship for young horses at Zangersheide, a 4th place in Marcq-en-Baroeul, a 5th place in Zandhoven,... Afterwards Esperanto was sold to France.

His full sister, Hawaï van Paemel (by Nonstop), attracted attention under the saddle of Filip Lacus. After a couple of placings in regional grand prixs, she was sold to the Canadian rider David Arcand via Gilbert De Roock and Eric Lamaze. With Arcand she jumped on 1m50 level and has won among others a 1m40 class in Wellington and became 9th in a 1m45 class at Vilamoura. In her first 1m60 Grand Prix she had one unlucky fault.  Thanks to these promising results Hawaï was sold to junior rider Cate Tomlinson.

The beautiful Kingston van Paemel (s. Numero Uno) possesses a lot of power, scope and is jumping high above the fences. As a three-year-old he charmed the highly selective jury of Studbook Zangersheide and was approved as a breeding stallion. As a five-year-old he once again jumped a decent round and thus received lifelong approval from Z. As a young horse Kingston stood in the stables of Filip Lacus. As a five-year-old he managed to jump clear rounds in the stallion competition and ended up in the final. In the final ranking he came in 4th place. As a six-year-old  he also did very excellent in the stallion competition. The reactive stallion took the victory in Sentower Park and came second in the final.  This ultimately resulted in a nice 4th place in the final standings. Kingston moved to the stables of the Frenchman Aldrick Cheronnet at the end of 2018. Aldrick expects a lot from Kingston, who is developing well.  He was already 3rd and 7th in the 1m50 Grand Prixs of Valencia and 10th in a 1m50 class at St. Tropez. At the beginning of this year, Andres Vereecke took over the reins from Kingston.

In combination with Numero Uno, both Luna van Paemel and Nikita van Paemel Z were born. Both mares jump(ed) under the saddle of Jelle Limbourg. Luna is now jumping at 1m40 level, where she shows an enormous will to stay clear. Nikita jumped six clear rounds out of eight entries in the STX young horse cycle as a five-year-old, finishing in 88th place in the standings. As a six-year-old she jumped four times double clear and thus qualified for the Belgian Championship. She was sold afterwards.

On October 1, 2018  we unfortunately had to say goodbye to our dear Rendez-Vous.
Dear Rendez-Vous, RV’ke, la mama... with you we lose the queen of our stable. Your great personality will be greatly missed here. A lady with character, sparkling with energy, but with a heart of gold. You always wanted to be cuddled before you started eating. With Cicero you have of course given us the most beautiful gift. Thank you for all those wonderful years, although they were too few. A great void remains now that you are gone. Fortunately, you live on in all your children, grandchildren and great-grandchildres. And especially in our hearts. Sleep tight RV.
